    Acquired in 2011 from the City of Oakland Public Library.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    Includes three shipping lists for items shipped from San Francisco, California to Carson City, Nevada on August 10th and August 13, 1878 on train 9 of the previous hit Central Pacific Railroad . Shipment lists include dry goods, boots, baskets, masks and foodstuffs including lobster, clams, oysters, caviar and nuts. The bill includes information about the freight rates, the car number, the shippers and receivers. There are some Chinese names on the list of persons receiving the items.
